asked the Minister of Works how many Government offices are now burning smokeless fuel.

My Department supplies fuel for some 8.500 buildings, including offices. Of these, some 7,100 burn coke and a small number are heated by gas. Seventy-seven use oil fuel. This last figure includes some of the major buildings.
