§ Mr. Dodds-ParkerThe security and safety of British and other foreign pilgrims in and around Jerusalem during the Christmas season is a matter for the local authorities. Her Majesty's Government have, however, no reason to suppose that they will not carry out this duty satisfactorily as in past years. Her Majesty's Consular Officers will afford British visitors the usual degree of assistance if required. Prospective visitors will no doubt take into account the present international situation in deciding whether or not to go there at this time.
