asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the increasing cost of petrol to the consumer, due to the Middle East situation, he will consider reducing by the same amount and for the same period the tax on petrol, and making up the loss by an increased cut in Government expenditure on the Civil Service.
