§ 55. Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Fuel and Power what is the present position in respect of wholesale and retail supplies of paraffin or kerosene; and what action is being taken to ensure that elderly people and others who largely or entirely rely on this oil for illumination, heating or cooking shall be able to meet their needs even if this may involve restriction of supplies to those to whom it is not essential.
§ Mr. Aubrey JonesWholesale supplies arc being maintained and I am not aware of any general difficulty in obtaining retail supplies. But I shall keep a close watch on this, and I shall certainly bear the hon. Member's points in mind.
