§ Mr. J. StuartPatients have escaped from the State Institution for Mental Defectives at Carstairs on four occasions in the past five years. Two patients escaped singly in 1953 and 1956 respectively, two patients escaped together in 1952 and three patients escaped together in 1954. None of the seven patients involved in these escapes was absent from the Institution for more than one day.
