asked the Minister of Defence to state, approximately, how many of the recalled reservists, Regular and National Service men, retained beyond their normal period of service because of the war in Suez, are likely to be brought home and demobilised before Christmas; how many are not; and why it is not possible to have all such men demobilised before that date.

The Answer depends upon the detailed time-table for the withdrawal of Allied Forces, which is being worked out between General Keightley and General Burns.
