§ 92. Mr. Ernest Daviesasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation the number of convictions for offences committed in regard to the licensing of goods vehicles under Part I of the Road and Rail Traffic Act, 1933; and the number of enforcement officers employed in his Department for the latest available period of 12 months.
§ Mr. WatkinsonDuring the 12 months ended 30th September, 1955, 8,992 convictions were obtained by licensing authorities for goods vehicles or by the police in co-operation with licensing authorities. During the same period 73 officers were on average employed on this enforcement work.
