Mr. Watkinsasked the Minister of Health what stock has been sold from the Mid-Wales Mental Hospital Farm and what price was received; upon what date farming operations ceased; what food production activities are now taking place; and what is his policy with regard to the future of the farm.
§ Mr. Turton258 head of live stock and all "dead" stock surplus to hospital requirements were sold for £5,703 and £3,729 respectively. Farming operations ceased at 31st December, 1955, but market gardening at the hospital is continuing. It is intended to sell or let the farm land and buildings.
