§ 62. Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why the traffic lights at the Lambeth end of Lambeth Bridge, S.E.1, are to be replaced by a roundabout, in view of the congestion which occurs in peak hours at the roundabout at the Westminster end of the bridge.
§ Mr. MolsonThese traffic lights are being replaced by a roundabout in order to ease traffic flow and reduce congestion. Although the roundabout at the Westminster end of the bridge does run to capacity at peak periods, I do not think that there is serious congestion of traffic there.
