§ 81. Mr. M. Lindsayasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation to provide for the date and place of executions not to be made public until after they have taken place.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeI do not think that it would be right to refrain altogether from announcing the date and place of an impending execution but I have noted for legislation at a convenient opportunity the recommendation of the Royal Commission that notice should be given in the Press instead of by posting outside the prison gate.
