HC Deb 09 November 1955 vol 545 cc202-3W
Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he is aware that the Wealdstone Brook still overflows, flooding the gardens of residents in Brook Avenue, Wembley, and threatening their houses, despite past efforts to prevent this; and if he will take steps to assist the local authority to have the brook cleared of obstructions.

Mr. Sandys

I have been in touch with the local authorities concerned about this matter. I understand that the Highways Committee of the Middlesex County Council will be considering, in a few weeks' time, an improvement scheme which has been prepared at their direction.
