asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation how many accidents took place in the Laceby village area near Grimsby, for each of the last five years; and when he proposes to commence the building of a modern road from Laceby cross-roads to Bradley Corner.

The answer to the first part of the Question is given below. So far as the second part is concerned, I have nothing to add to the statements I made on 2nd February and 27th July.

The following is the number of reported accidents in the Laceby area for the last five years:
