§ Mr. NugentThe recommendations in this Report cover a wide field and most of them call for consultation with the various sections of the pig industry. The Home Secretary, the Secretary of State for Scotland, and my right hon. Friend will shortly be seeking the views of the organisations concerned and a statement will be made as soon as possible on those recommendations which would necessitate Government action. I should like to take this opportunity, on behalf of my right hon. Friends and myself, of thanking Sir Harold Howitt and his colleagues for the speed and thoroughness with which they have dealt with the issues referred to them.
