§ 62. Mr. Teelingasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why, and on what authority, British subjects are prevented from travelling by air direct from Cyprus to Malta, although there is a service running, unless they have resided 14 days in Cyprus.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThis rule was instituted in order that the Colonial Coach service operated between these islands should not carry through international passengers, as the rates charged are below those internationally agreed for such pas-128W sengers. I do not, however, think the rule can be maintained on this sector and it will be withdrawn, and alternative arrangements substituted.
