HC Deb 11 March 1955 vol 538 c84W
Mr. Finlay

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General if he will give priority to the installation of telephones at the houses of official shorthand writers at the Royal Courts of Justice, courts of assize, and quarter sessions who require to be in close touch with the courts in connection with their services.

Mr. Gammans

We give these official shorthand writers business priority for the installation of telephones at their offices, but I regret that they cannot be allowed priority for telephones at home.
