HC Deb 09 March 1955 vol 538 cc54-5W
Mr. Callaghan

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what complaints he has received that the closing of the former sub-post office in Wentloog Road, Rumney, will inconvenience local residents; and if, in view of the growing housing estate, he is satisfied that only one sub-post office is needed.

Mr. Gammans

Representations have been made locally by the Cardiff City Council, the Rumney Ratepayers' Association and one resident. There are still two sub-offices in Rumney, the office formerly in Wentloog Road having been replaced by one in a more central position in Caeglas Road; the new office is well situated to serve the new housing estate.
