§ 103. Mr. Albuasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the difficulty of raising the volume of exports appreciably above the levels achieved in 1950 and 1951, he will reconstitute the Committee on Import Substitution.
§ Mr. R. A. ButlerNo. In 1950 the previous Administration reconstituted the Imports Substitution Panel as the Natural Resources (Technical) Committee. This Committee has the duty of advising on the technical aspects of the development,24W use and conservation of natural resources generally. It is still in existence, and I am satisfied that no change in its constitution is required.
