HC Deb 02 March 1955 vol 537 c277W
Mrs. L. Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the fact that 76 families of earthquake victims in Ktima, Cyprus, are still living in tents, he is satisfied with the measures for earthquake relief; and whether he will authorise some further immediate action to end the continuing homelessness of these people some of whom are aged and infirm.

Mr. Hopkinson

Nearly all these families have now been settled in houses. The last four families living in tents are expected to move into houses this week. The second part of the Question, therefore, does not arise.
