§ Mr. J. StuartI announced on 14th July, 1953, that the Government had approved the setting up of experimental peat-burning gas turbine plants at a capital cost of approximately £500,000. Expenditure during the financial years 1953–54 and 1954–55 amounted to approximately £129,000.
