§ Mr. J. R. H. Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will make a statement about the work of the Hospital Endowments Commission.
§ Mr. J. StuartAll the 88 endowment schemes framed by the Commission have been approved and are now in operation, and in accordance with the statutory provisions the Commission went out of office on 4th July. A general report I have received from the Commission is published today as a Command Paper, and copies are now available in the Vote Office. The Government are much indebted to Sir Sydney Smith, the Chairman, and to the members of the Commission for their services in this matter.
