§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterI am afraid that my hon. Friend's figures do not square with mine, but I agree that there has been an increase in accidents on this road. I cannot authorise at present the making of a Brentwood by-pass, but I am considering whether there are any other steps I can take which would help traffic conditions.
