asked the First Lord of the Admiralty (1) what is the uniform allowance of officers of the Sea Cadet Corps;

(2) if he will increase the uniform allowance of officers of the Sea Cadet Corps.

The present allowance is £32 in cash for the purchase of uniform made to measure. It is reviewed annually in accordance with current prices and was slightly increased from 1st January, 1955. Certain other clothing is issued free of charge from Service stocks.
