§ Mr. PeakeAbout 10,000 widows in Wales are receiving a widow's basic pension or a contributory old-age pension of 10s. a week. The number of such widows receiving National Assistance in Wales is not known, but for Great Britain as a whole the proportion is about 15 per cent.
