§ Mrs. Mannasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many Scottish local authorities have set up home safety committees; and what propaganda is being done in Scotland to lessen the number of deaths from accidents in the home.
§ Mr. J. StuartI understand that there are home safety committees in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Kilmarnock, with which the local authorities are associated; and110W that elsewhere in Scotland many of the fifty-seven local accident prevention committees set up by local authorities concern themselves with home accidents as well as with road accidents. A good deal of propaganda to reduce home accidents is being undertaken in Scotland, both centrally and locally, and I will write to the hon. Member giving her fuller information about it.
