§ 78. Mr. Yatesasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has given further consideration to the need for a review of the provisions of the prison rules governing admission to the third stage of sentences of preventive detention; and what action he proposes to take.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeI have decided, after full consideration, that the time has not come to consider any review of the system of preventive detention as set out in the prison rules. Steps are being taken however to further help prisoners to understand the working of the system and in particular the selection of prisoners for the third stage.
