HC Deb 09 February 1955 vol 536 c224W
107. Sir F. Medlicott

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General to take steps to see that administrative arrangements made between his Department and the principal relay companies ensure that before installation of the service, new subscribers are in possession of a wireless receiving licence; that local Post Office authorities are regularly informed of subscriber connections and disconnections; and that such local Post Office authorities advise the relay companies of the names of subscribers who have not renewed their licences, so that they may be disconnected from the service.

Mr. Gammans

We are looking into the arrangements between the Post Office and all the relay companies, and hope to arrange a discussion soon to see whether the administrative arrangements can be improved.
