HC Deb 09 February 1955 vol 536 cc222-3W
95. Mr. J. Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many Africans have now been screened in the detention camps of Kenya; and how many of these have been returned to civil life.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

According to the figures available to me, approximately 54,750 have been screened, of whom 7,350 have been released either directly or after passing through works camps.
