§ 56. Mr. S. Silvermanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement concerning the escape from prison of Mr. Alfred George Hinds.
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeHinds escaped from Nottingham prison on the evening of 26th November apparently in the company of another prisoner named Fleming. Both men are still at large. An Assistant 83W Commissioner has held an inquiry and the Prison Commissioners are at present studying his report. Meanwhile security precautions have been increased in the prison.
