Mr. AmoryThis subject is being studied by the Inter-departmental Advisory Committee, set up last year, on Poisonous Substances used in Agriculture and Food Storage; and certain aspects are under consideration by the Metallic Contamination Sub-committee of the Food Standards Committee. The Food and Drugs Acts prohibit the sale of food containing substances which render it injurious to health or unfit for human consumption.
