Major Hicks Beachasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the late hour at which the post has been recently delivered in New Square, Lincoln's Inn, and in particular that on 9th March, 16th March and 5th April it was not delivered to some offices in New Square before the hours of 9.13 a.m., 9.17 a.m. and 9.9 a.m., respectively; and if he will take steps to ensure that the post in future is delivered to the place mentioned at a reasonably early hour so that those anxious to do a full day's work are not debarred from so doing owing to the late delivery.
Dr. Hill:I am sorry that exceptionally heavy mails have recently caused some delay in the due delivery of the first post in New Square, Lincoln's Inn: but I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that everything possible is being done to ensure more punctual deliveries in the future.
