§ Mr. P. Wellsasked the Minister of Agriculture what progress has been made in research work on the trace element problem carried out in Romney Marsh in regard to peas; and if he will publish results as soon as possible.
Mr. AmoryThe National Agricultural Advisory Service, in co-operation with the Soil Survey of England and Wales, is continuing investigations on trace element deficiencies in Romney Marsh so as to bring to a conclusion earlier research on this subject. When results are available they will be published, but it is likely that the experiments will have to go on for several years.
