Hudsonasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation the estimated cost of acquiring land and easements at the Elephant and Castle and Holborn and Kingsway Junctions for the proposed construction of roundabouts which have been authorised as part of the National Road Building programme.
§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterThese schemes have not yet been formally authorised. The estimated costs of land and easements are roughly £¾ million for the first and £2 million for the second.
