asked the Minister of Supply the number of motor-vehicle chassis produced each year since the end of the war.

Although monthly returns are made to my Department by manufacturers of chassis, the figures asked for are not readily available and to extract them from the monthly returns made over a period of 10 years by all manufacturers would be a lengthy task which would not be justified.
