§ Mr. H. MacmillanMy latest information is that at present the normal period of whole-time compulsory service in the Soviet Navy is 48 months. Ordinary conscripts in the Army and Air Force serve about 36 months, although N. C. O s. and certain technicians may be required to serve an additional 12 months.
