§ Sir D. EcclesSo far as requests by local authorities are concerned, the answer which my right hon. Friend the Member for Moss Side (Dame Florence Horsbrugh) gave on 3rd June to the hon. Member for Cardiff, West (Mr. G. Thomas) applies to next year's building programme as it did to this. The amount now authorised for the 1955–56 building programme is about £48 million.
