HC Deb 10 November 1954 vol 532 c128W
Mr. Russell

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why the removal of the roundabout at Brent Bridge on the North Circular Road, Hendon, is taking so long to complete; how many men are employed on the scheme; and the total cost of the road-works and of installing traffic signals.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

The work has had to be done more slowly than I would have liked because of the need to do it in a way which would cause the least interference to the very heavy traffic using this junction. This also restricted working space. The total cost is £19,896. The cost of installing traffic signals is £1,500.
