HC Deb 10 November 1954 vol 532 c139W
Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what steps he is taking to meet the shortage of telephones in Cardiff in general and in Llanishen, in particular.

Mr. Gammans

A new automatic exchange was opened in Llanishen in September; new cables are also being provided. This should enable a large number of waiting applicants to be given service by next spring. In Cardiff as a whole the order list was reduced by nearly 400 during the last 12 months.
