HC Deb 09 November 1954 vol 532 cc111-2W
44. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will name the areas where his Department assume that any premium on vacant possession of property has disappeared.

Mr. R. A. Butler

I am advised that at the present time the premium on vacant possession has virtually disappeared for all classes of houses over a considerable part of north-east, south-east and south-west England and North and South Wales. In most of England and Wales the value of the concession has disappeared for certain classes of houses and not for others.
