HC Deb 24 May 1954 vol 528 c2W
Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether myxomatosis has yet been detected in counties in Wales other than Radnorshire; and where keepers of pet rabbits in Cardiff can obtain protective vaccines.

Sir T. Dugdale

The answer to the first part of the Question is "No." A vaccine which provides some measure of protection against myxomatosis has been prepared from a related virus namely that of the rabbit fibroma. The vaccine may be obtained from veterinary surgeons and chemists in Cardiff and elsewhere.
