MacmillanThe housing authorities in the county of London are building at the rate of 11,000 dwellings a year within the county and are already making maximum use of suitable war-damaged sites. The urgent housing needs of London cannot be met without some further provision outside the county, but it is my endeavour, in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, to see that as little harm as possible is done to agriculture in that process.
