Mr. Cooper-Keyasked the Minister of Agriculture whether Mr. Mehren. who came to this country in 1952 at the request of Her Majesty's Government to inquire into the operation of agricultural co-operative societies and the methods of distributing agricultural produce and requisities, generally, has yet made a report to him; and when he will publish it.
§ Sir T. DugdaleDr. Mehren's Report was received in February, 1953. The inquiry was concerned solely with agricultural co-operation. The Report was made confidentially to my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and myself, and we do not propose to publish it.
