HC Deb 01 March 1954 vol 524 c67W
8. Mr. Benn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs for what purpose Messerschmidt, Focker-Wülf, Dornier, Heinkel and Daimler-Benz have recently formed a combine; whether this includes aircraft construction; and if, in view of the fact that such work is prohibited under the Occupation Statute and the Bonn Conventions, he will make a statement.

Mr. Nutting

The five firms in question formed last year an association known as the Aero Union for Co-operation and the discussion of common problems. No aircraft construction is taking place in Western Germany. There are no Allied restrictions on associations of this kind.
