(2) to what organisation the payment of the initial expenses, amounting to £5,258 2s. 0d., of the Apple and Pear Marketing Board was made.
§ Sir T. Dugdale£5,000 was paid to the Apple and Pear Marketing Board on my being satisfied that it had incurred initial expenses of at least this amount.
153W£258 2s. was the cost to my Department of the public inquiry. The board is not required to publish accounts since the scheme ceased to have effect when it was rejected at the initial poll of producers.
