HC Deb 15 June 1954 vol 528 cc137-8W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Agriculture, in view of Command Paper No. 8989, when wool growers will be allowed to sell their wool freely.

Sir T. Dugdale

The organisation of the sale of United Kingdom fleece wool is in the hands of the British Wool Marketing Board, which was set up by producers themselves under the Agricultural Marketing Acts. This arrangement is fully consistent with the policy outlined in Command Paper No. 8989.
