HC Deb 03 June 1954 vol 528 c113W
84. Mr. Orbach

asked the Secretary of State for War why, in the case of Captain Norman H. Newman, Royal Army Medical Corps, who was killed in Hong Kong in April, 1952, by an Army ambulance while attending a civilian in the roadway, his Department have denied liability on the ground that the case falls within Section 10 of the Crown Proceedings Act, 1947; and whether he will reconsider his decision.

Mr. J. R. H. Hutchison

Because the case has been dealt with and the mother granted a pension under the Royal Warrant administered by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance.
