§ 63. Mr. Sorensen
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies to what extent the plans of the rural and industrial 78W development authority in Malaya are being fulfilled.
§ Mr. Lyttelton
The authority has made steady progress since its creation in 1950. Within the limits imposed by finance and a shortage of skilled staff, it has provided valuable assistance in the development of small enterprises. The hon. Member may care to examine its half-yearly reports, which are in the Library of the House.
