Mr. de Freitasasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that, owing to the reduction in the allocation of houses for 1954, over the last three months there has been a progressive reduction in the number of men employed on house-building in the City of Lincoln; and whether he will reconsider the request made by the Town Clerk of Lincoln in his letter of 15th June for an increased allocation.
§ Mr. MarplesNo. The amount of housing and other building work now in hand, or known to be coming forward, is at least sufficient to absorb all the building labour in the area.
