asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when he expects to be in a position to give his decision on the Middlesex County Development Plan; or whether he can issue a statement with regard to that part of the plan which affects the D Ring Road.

In view of the large number of objections to be considered and the major issues involved I cannot yet forecast the probable date of decision. I cannot approve any part of the Plan in isolation, but my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation issued a decision relating to the D Ring Road under the Restriction of Ribbon Development Act, 1935, on 11th February last.
