HC Deb 05 July 1954 vol 529 c135W
13. Lieut.-Colonel Hyde

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will state the international organisations with establishments in the United Kingdom whose personnel enjoy diplomatic privileges and immunities; and if he will also state the numbers of personnel involved.

Mr. Dodds-Parker

The United Nations, the International Labour Office and the Brussels Treaty Permanent Commission have establishments in the United Kingdom whose personnel enjoy privileges and immunities appropriate to their status, in accordance with the provisions of the International Organisations (Immunities and Privileges) Act, 1950, and the Schedule thereto. The total number of personnel involved is 52. Of this number, only one official enjoys the full range of privileges and immunities contemplated in Part 2 of the Schedule to the Act of 1950. The others enjoy the more limited immunities and privileges listed in Part 3 of the Schedule.
