§ 72. Mr. Mayhew
asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give an estimate of the amount spent annually in Britain on advertising of all kinds.
§ Mr. Maudling
There are no official figures, but I understand that a survey of 265W expenditure on advertising in 1952 has been carried out by the Advertising Association, and preliminary results were published in a supplement to the "Financial Times" on 25th January.
